Stress at Work

I just went for an interview today, and this new potential job would make it possible to leave the job I hate...pray for me please!

It's weird that the workplace can be like highschool. Full of drama and women who belittle each other. I wish I could work somewhere where women lifted each other up and encouraged everyone to be the best part of themselves.

I feel lost. I’ve spent a decade to get to a place where I’m financially stable in my career and I’m horrified to say - I don’t like what I do. This is breaking my heart because it’s the only thing I’ve ever committed to in my life, to let it go would be terrifying. I just keep hoping it will get better.

Shoutout to all those wonderful people going to work today and facing terrible coworkers, bosses and managers. You are not alone! We are not alone. We are getting stronger and more competent, we are building our future. Don’t stop hoping. Count the times you feel devastated and fill in an application for a different place for each one of these times. We will get through this.

Work is horrible. I’m 20. This is my first career and I think it’s killing me.

Ever can't stand someone you work with so much, to the point that them walking in the office gives you anxiety?

Last month, I quit my first full-time job out of college. After 1.5 years, it got to the point where I couldn’t hang on. Professionally, it felt like a sinking ship with no clear directives, a manager objectively unfit to run my department & a lack of resources. I also had personal issues, including a coworker who behaved inappropriately toward me, & nothing was done to help me. I applied to >30 jobs & have tried networking but don’t have a good lead yet. I’m discouraged & feel like a failure.

I am getting harassed at work and at home from a former client. It is making me so stressed and anxious. Finally getting steps done to take care of the issue

Its frustrating to see co workers do minimal to no effort at all at what they do and they get all the congrats. I am no looking for congrats or being put up in a pedestal. I look for that simple fair treat to everyone. I don't have to be responsible for everything. I got co workers that can do the same thing I do, they are just too lazy. Why don't the boss see that and ask for more out of them? I'm really tired. But this job is all I have. Literally.

I keep telling myself to job search while employed instead of quit then job search. But it is SO hard staying at a job I hate. But it is harder not having income for an unknown amount of time...

I LOVE my job but sometimes working with kids with trauma and mental health problems when I’ve got my own issues that flare up occasionally is so damn hard. Sometimes it helps though- I get out of my own head and focus on helping others and working within a team for 12 hours.

Why can't people leave their home problems at home? Why do they have to bring them into work and splash them all over everything?

Finding a job, job hunting. It all takes so much time and energy.

I'm worried that I won't be able to enjoy my day off. Last time I got called in. But they can't. Boundaries. I'm not going to let them invalidate my boundaries.

I feel like I’m the only one who does my job, and because I’m so dependable, I’m given everyone’s tasks because they don’t/can’t/won’t finish them. I just want to do my job and go home at the end of the day.

I’m really frustrated that people get away with so much and no repercussions. I feel completely powerless and taken advantage of. It’s been a draining 3 months.

Very anxious about this job interview, I just turned 18 and this is a job I’d be very well off at. I have an hour before the interview as I sit in the parking lot calming my nerves, many things are riding on this, I’m hopeful, but I hope that the hope I have doesn’t turn to disappointment and no call back. I’m very nervous. 🌀
