Work is pushing me towards a total mental breakdown. I really need a day off but we are so slammed that I don't think my manager would let me "call in sick" or "work from home"

Overloaded, overly stressed, endless tasks, not much energy left in me!

A lot of work stress comes from people trying to fit in at work (changing who they are in order to be accepted by their colleagues and bosses). A supportive employer is one that encourages employees to belong at work (being authentic and themselves, accepted for who they are by those they work with).

I'm no longer employed...on disability and social security, but money is still a stress and struggle which creates anxiety. My current job is writing and right now I'm having to push myself very, very hard to even get an outline done. I'm depressed and filled with ennui, and life doesn't make sense. And, so, I am working on an absurdist short/long story full of absurdity. Even without a 40 hour week, work causes stress, but we can't live in bubbles. Sometimes you gotta push and push.

After getting 3 pages of detailed notes from my boss about what to work on I'm feeling overwhelmed. As if I wasn't feeling overwhelmed to begin with. I accept it as constructive criticism and am thankful for the help but it just adds to the fact that I don't feel like I'm cut out for this. I love my students and want this to work so badly but I'm always feeling defeated

Why is that so difficult to get a job if you wear hijab? πŸ™ƒ I swear If I were richest person on the earth, I would be fair and let the minorities work in my company without to see their background and religion.

Im only 16. I don't have a car and neither do my parents. We are getting a car tomorow. Today I had to call in because I didn't have a ride. My coworker texts me with a really nasty attitude about me not coming in. He tells me Im a worthless lazy piece of shit to society. Its not my fault I don't have a ride to work..

I no longer want to work for my current job. The people here are awful and the negativity saps all of my energy instantly. It is a constant battle to protect my energy and good mood here. Thankfully applied for some new jobs today. Baby steps!

I'm one step away from getting fired. It's never happened before in my career. My body is in shock so I'm waiting for my anxiety. Please send positive thoughts for finding a better job. Peace and thank you!

Called off work again today. Done it so many time my pto is pretty much gone. Some days the thought of having to go to that place paralyzes me with anxiety. And then you call off and you just freak out all day because you feel guilty. Ughhh. Gonna use today to apply for as many jobs as I can. My goal is to have a new job by April 1st. It's so hard when you apply and apply but no one calls back. Trying to stay positive. These feelings are too familiar.

I work remotely. My bosses are in a different city. Sometimes they do not respond to my emails of my completed projects. It is really disempowering and demotivating for them to not at least adknowledge I've completed a task. Makes it hard to work on long term projects.

My depression and anxiety make it hard to focus at work. I feel like I'm drowning. I'm trying so hard not to get frustrated, but I can't seem to calm myself. I feel hopeless.
