Stress at Work

Does anyone else feel like they never have time and all they do is work. This time of year is worse for me as im in retail and no holiday is to be taken Im working right up till Christmas day have that off then back to work boxing day. I feel like my little one is not getting the time she needs with me as my family are looking after her as I have to work even when she's not at school. Sometimes I think that being a parent is hard enough. being a single one with nearly a full time job is worse!

I know I need a job for money to live, but every morning gets harder and harder and when I don't go my anxiety completely takes over...someone get me out of this viscous circle :(

Working my butt off and being told that I'm still not doing enough is heartbreaking. I'm at work anywhere from 10-12 hours trying to get things done and it's still not enough to for people. And they still want me to help with stuff that's not in my "division" but when I say no I get bitched at. I just can't win.

My employers are lovely people but my anxiety keeps me at a distance and I feel like I come off awkward as I have severe trouble talking to them sometimes.

I hope it's alright that I share a work related accomplishment ....I had a coffee first thing at work today - normally, the remainder of the day would be a write off, but I focused in on a couple of different tasks, ignored anxiety symptoms, told them I wasn't afraid to feel them and kicked today's butt!!

Always anxiuos until I get a job and then anxious about being on time and then can't wait to go home, can't handle it, can't wait till it's over -even if it's a great job! And then back to being anxious trying to find a new job. :/

Sick of working till I plop on the door for a low wage and no respect. Spent all of my last paycheck on car payment and insurance and phone bill. Hoping I make it to next Friday without running out of gas or food. Thank buddha work is close...

I'm working a normal 40 hour work week, don't have kids, have a boyfriend that helps with the household, and still I feel so tired, like I'm strung out from work... It's I don't have any reason to feel like this, and still I do, while I have friends doing exactly the same thing with kids, lots of hobbies, studies, building a house... And they all seem to cope.

I got so anxious and upset after a customer at work called me stupid and told me to "use my brain" that I spend my break crying and throwing up in the bathroom. Working in retail is a bitch when you have social anxiety.

I got my first job & I was very excited until I laid down & it hit me that I have a job. I'm not ready for one. I thought I was but I'm not even physically stable, let alone mentally or emotionally.

I just started my job at the Warren Theatres. I was really nervous about meeting new people and adjusting to my new job. It ended up being a really fun night and met a lot if chill people. Absolutely no regrets :)

Yet another person has resigned today. This one has been with the company for 17 years. That makes 7 people that have resigned or been fired. Majority of the cases have been resignations because if management style. Being condescending is not a good management style. It makes it really hard to be motivated to come into work.

I have just started my first job and it isn't easy... I feel like I constantly need to rely on someone else and ask dumb questions. They even singled me out for asking a dumb question, which was because of their poor communication...

I got "released" today from my job. Recently my depression had been so crippling I couldn't go to work. I know it can only get better from here. But why right before Christmas?

I'm tired of the popularity contests at work . High school and children ..... I relate to no one at work and honestly I wouldn't want to and I'm happy that I don't but it makes me sad that I can't make friends with someone on the same level.

I have been really stressed at work because I was finally feeling like I was doing a good job just to be put down by my supervisor it made me feel stupid and like I was a horrible worker even though I bust my butt off at work and clock out to do extra work to help my coworkers even though I don't get paid for it because my boss can't afford to pay me more

honestly my job used to be my happy place, I felt more at home there than my actual home, but now I just feel like shit when I go in bc our new bosses are such assholes

I just started a new job after a two month mental break from my last one. I think it was too premature for me to go back as it's hard to adjust and my job is in outside sales. I have constant anxiety and depression that comes and goes. Today I struggled to get out of bed and resorted to hiding under the covers. The medication I take was working in the beginning and now feels like I'm getting immune. I wish I was able to manage my life like normal people seem to. Every day is a struggle :(

I'm so fed up with how my managers conduct themselves. They play favorites, they'll tattle like toddlers, it's just never ending. But lord forbid you vent your frustration to management without it turning around and biting you in the butt. I'm so done with that place.

I've been at the same job for 15 years. Recently I found out my job will be moving to a town an hour from my house and I got a new boss. He took a project away from a coworker and made me do it during my busiest time. I had an emotional breakdown the other day and ive become irritable and feel like I don't have any support from my boss or coworkers. I'm sure they are talking about me behind my back too.

I had to decode to either help my mom who was having a meltdown or go to work. So I called in and canceled, apologized and gave her my reason. Even though my boss sounded very disappointed in me, I will never regret my decision.

I feel like I'm expected to have all the answers. Especially related to mental health. I can't even keep up with my own sanity, how am I supposed to help anyone else?

Being self employed can be really stressful. I have 3 employees and it is hard to keep everyone happy and productive. Today my office manager quit in a huff because I had to cut 4 hrs from 1 day only.

I've worked with my boss for 2 years; I get here (30mins) early to set up for patients, I work hard, I work extra hours when he's asked. And recently the front office staff has been training me to do their jobs too, and that's totally out of my comfort zone. And I've been messing up a lot lately because I don't put in the right codes for insurance, and I asked my boss about not doing it anymore, he probably thought I was joking, and he just simply said that I needed to learn flexibility.
