I'm not even on-call (I do tech support and am in a rotation) and yet I'm checking emails... and when I see a message from a customer, I get anxious and feel the need to reach out to help.... I wonder why? Why can't I disconnect? Why can't I trust that others have things under control? Why can't I let go of the feeling that I might get pulled into a support call at any moment?”
