“I try to be fully aware of my senses while doing routine things. For instance, while washing dishes the feel of the water, it’s temperature and pressure as it flows from the faucet, the odor of the dish soap, the sound of the dishes clattering and water splashing, etc. Then, I express gratitude for the miracle of my senses, and that I have dishes, running water, and the ability to do my chores. This keeps me in the moment and aware of my blessings.”
