Meditation and soothing, relaxation music works wonderfully for me. After a long and stressful day, I like to wind down by playing soothing piano music and laying down, taking deep breaths. I keep my mind blank, and focus my attention on my breath. Doing this for about 5 to 10 minutes is all it takes to feel more calm and mindful.

i like to keep my room clean. it gets messy at times but it helps me when it’s clean and everything has its place.

I stay organized, I make sure to always dress my best because it makes me feel good. I watch myself as best as possible if I start to slip and I congratulate myself each night in making it through another day

One important tip I was told as a beginner to mindfulness is to actively enjoy your meals. Instead of watching TV or reading while eating, simply focus on the food and it’s tastes, smells and textures. I found this to be a great way to start, I hope it helps someone else too!

I'm just now really begining to focus on being mindful of my thoughts, words, and behaviours. Historically, I have let my feelings act like "facts" and guide the way. This has not led me down a happy road. The last week has brought a lot of changes to my life (moving in with my mom while my life partner of 6-years and I take a step back) and I recognize now that the key to finding my own happiness lays in becoming more mindful of how my emotions are actually influencing my life.

Has anyone else struggled to find the best meditation posture? I know it is so individual to each body, so I’m not asking for recommendations of specific postures, but if you struggled to find the right posture and then found it, can you describe the process you went through? Did you do research, try different products, see a teacher, etc? Thanks so much for any advice!

Every day is a new day to practice that I cannot worry about things I cannot control. Also, being mindful of the fact that things always have a way of working out, and to be, in the now. A work in progress 😊

I try to do one or more guided meditations per day. Also, trying to be present during everyday activities (eating, travelling, dishes, etc.)

I need to start being STRICT about my mindful habits. I only do them when I remember or when I feel like it but I think for a benefit I really need to do it with regularity like on scheduel

This app helps me stay mindful by being ok with accepting that my feelings are valid even when I can’t explain them. I can jot them down and dig deeper at later times when I need to focus at work.

i just listened to the "Awareness of Emotions" lesson in Journeys and i swear i cried during the entire time. I havent been allowing myself to feel without judgement for a long time until now, and it feels like im finally getting over some mental roadblocks. Just allowing yourself to experience and label emotions and accepting them rather than fighting it is something ive never been able to do, but its like a breath of fresh air.

I journal all my days. Simple words to describe emotions or activities I did. It helps me stay aware of what I have been up to and what may trigger anything. If you want advice I am happy to share. 😊

Think of 1 thing I want to accomplish or do that will help me feel closer to healthy/successful/at peace & hop to it right after a nice breakfast first thing in the AM! Not procrastinating helps reduce (often my own self-imposed) stress. (Silly habits I'm working on). Forgive self, then move on: seek out info or advice from pros and try again with better methods. 🧠👍🌞 literally encourage myself outloud with a "good job!" when I follow through. Changing habits takes intentional effort daily!
