I heard this quote before, “your body hears everything your mind says.” I’ve realized how true this is because I have been so sick this year. Maybe I need to stop thinking the meanest and nastiest things about myself. I always ruminate on the worst moments in my life and think that I’m disgusting and worthless. But I know that I’m not! So I’m gonna start saying nice things about myself in my head from now on.

If I have negative thoughts about a situation I try to think of at least 5 positive things from that same situation. Not why is this happening to me but rather what is it trying to teach me, etc.

I just turned 50 in May . The way that I stay mindful is to do some journaling to relax my mind . Because during the week , it does get a bit stressful . Especially on Fridays . This is where I would have customers come into the store to shop for anything & everything that are for good prices . At the end of the day when I get home all I want to do is take a nice shower to take all of the stress away . That’s when I start to do my journaling .

When I’m outside walking I can hear almost everything, birds, insects, people my steps as I walk. Incredible .

I went to chapters and I found this nifty little book called a thousand paths to mindfulness and each day I flip to a random page and read what it says. Today it said: Love is a butterfly which when pursued is just beyond your grasp, but if you will sit down quietly it may alight upon you. Once you start counting your blessings, it may be hard to stop.

Try to cut down on things that I know are being used to distract me like tv and music. Try to really focus on one task at a time.

Staying focused on the task at hand. When a thought comes to mind I recognize it for what it is, a thought. I then let the thought go and return to the task.

I post reminders all around my room. On some days they seem like wallpaper, I hardly notice them. I forgot about their existence. They're there to help me but I am not mindful enough to see. Astrology helps me stay mindful. First because it provides a lens through which to view things, but also because we can never be 100% sure of that lens so it’s like meta-mindful because you’re mindful of events and mindful of the lens you’re seeing those events through.
