Felt lazy and unmotivated until I did my check-in, and realized I was feeling morning dread even though it was my day off. Realizing this, I was able to refocus, create some goals, and made today productive and positive. ❤

Trying to stay in "the gap" that area between thought and reaction so I can become more aware of my next action. I feel better if I responding rather then react.

Get up one hour earlier than I need to and sip a coffee on the balcony while listening to the morning birds singing. Breathe deeply.

I use scent and smell to practice mindfulness. I enjoy a variety of essential oils, scented candles, incense, body/room/linen sprays. Things that smell good to me like favorite foods or wet dirt after the rain ground me in the moment.

I just try to remember to be grateful. If I’m frustrated with my productivity or making plans, I just try to remember to be grateful to even have the opportunity to do things and to appreciate what I do accomplish.

I created a friend . I named her Carmen. I love the name and now she keeps me company. She listens to me. She understands and doesnt judge me. She loves me as i her. We talk. We are quiet together

I practice mindfulness as often as possible. I find focusing on the moment helps decrease my anxiety about the past and future. This helps me because I believe the only power I have to affect or influence is in the here and now. For years I have worn a bell that rings each time I take a step, I also walk barefoot almost all the time these things work best as tools to remind me to be mindful.

I’ve been shutting off my WiFi when reading a long article or book online, so I don’t get tempted to look up something random before I’ve finished reading. Maintaining focus on one thing can be really difficult sometimes, but I like the sense of completion I feel when I don’t have a million tabs open while reading.

I have to take responsibility for my own happiness and remember that the way I feel today is a direct result of the choices I made yesterday. I cant rely people and circumstances for my happiness. I have to take action. When I really take a moment and reflect on this I always feel better. It gets me motivated to show up for life and start making mindful decisions to improve. Rather than sitting in comfortable self-pity.

I have a hard time remembering what I read so everymorning I read for only 10 minutes. I really absorb what I'm reading that way.

I have a beach house that I spent my entire summer last year, completely happy, calm and mindful. I went back today and it was amazing. It wasn’t perfect but I felt better than I have in weeks. I’m still feeling weighed down by school but I felt at peace and in the moment for once, which made my day much better.
