Mindfulness Meditations for Stress Relief

Remember that I am in today. I can’t change the past and I don’t know what the future holds so stay in today... it’s the only thing I have control over!!! 👍💕

When the world says "give up" Hope whispers "try it one more time".

Who were you before the world made you feel like you had to be anybody but yourself? Who were you before any of... this.

I keep a spiritual journal - a kind of scrapbook where I collect quotes, book excerpts, tape fortune cookie slips, prayer cards, etc that lift me up and touch my spirit. When I need a boost, I open to a random page and reflect on how that material affects me in that moment.

I have a panic attack kit it my bag at all times. It consists of ways for me to use my 5 senses in order to create mindfulness in a stressful situation. Mints or candy for taste, music for hearing, essential oil for smell, beautiful pictures of nature for sight, and some hand putty for touch. Just knowing I have it there helps keep them at bay. Hope this helps others!

I write in my planner! I recently got new pencils and a panda planner and ive been working on my habits -- so far I'm on a 4 day streak of drinking over 25 ounces (my water bottle size) of water and making my bed in the morning :)

I started taking holy fire reiki classes. Reiki is a very gentle form of healing that originated in Japan. It can be practiced along with any religion, and it is so relaxing and centering. Look into it!

I've been so resistant to journaling and for some reason today I randomly decided to start journaling and it was such an amazing release and I feel so much better

When I have a panic attack, I go to my notes app on my phone and write Psalm 23 until the panic feels less threatening. I feel like the scenery described in it is my safe/happy place. "He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me. Your rod and Your staff protect and comfort me."

Isn’t it weird how you can actually feel the pain in your chest and stomach when something really hurts your feelings

Sometimes we ask the world for a break when it's actually our minds that we should be asking.

Look around you, if you don't you may miss something beautiful

Sometimes, you need to stop writing about some people because they are not worthy of the spilled thoughts. Your raw thoughts on paper are far too priceless. Do not waste your precious time on them anymore.

Today I really tried to work stuff out from my past sexual abuses and ended up almost having a panic attack, but I was proud of myself cause I really walked through my emotions and what I was feeling and then to top it off I actually talked to my girlfriend about them so I really got it off my chest. I also emailed a potential sex therapist to help me work through stuff. Baby steps.

“Do you notice in your life how you’re hoping to arrive somewhere?”

Step 1: Identify a fear the second it pops into your mind. Ask yourself, Is this thought about something I know to be true right now, or am I trying to tell the future? Step 2: Talk to yourself. State the fear out loud, write it down, do whatever you need to do to get your brain back into the present moment. Step 3: Ask yourself, What do I know to be true right now? Sometimes our fears feel so real, we forget they haven’t happened. We need to remind ourselves of reality.

I’m the type of person that needs to laugh a lot. It’s my favorite way of de-stressing.
