I'm trying to be present in the moment and not dwell on the past or the future :)

I found myself regularly reliving the past. When this happens l thank the mind for reminding me of the lessons l have learned and remind myself of how far l have come and how proud l am of myself. Since starting this simple act of thanking the mind, l have noticed that l have stopped reliving past events.

I want to be the person I needed when I was little. And I want to be there for other people because I don't want them to ever feel how I felt/feel. (Even when that person is not nice to me) and that's what is keeping me kinda motivated to do my best.

When I get bad thoughts, I try to write them down in that moment and do some reflecting later on

When i start to get the dreadful thoughts or anxiety i tell myself that i cant let it win. I know how it feels to feel better so im going to let that over power any negative feeling i may have. I have to stay positive and move forward or i will never get better

When I’m drowning in anxiety, friends are always a great way to ground myself.

When I find myself hating everyone, I focus on finding one compliment for each person I see. I often start off with backhanded compliments, but end up with honest ones and feeling a whole lot better. It's not everyone else's fault I'm upset, it might not even be mine, but it's on me to recognize that and make it better.

Something that one of my teachers showed me when I had a panic attack was finding 5 things you see then 4 things you feel then 3 things you hear 2 things you smell and 1 thing you taste. I call it just the sensory count down. It really helps me if I feel a panic attack coming on, but while your having one it helps more if someone does it for you

a good quote by Sylvia Plath: “Remember, remember, this is now, and now, and now. Live it, feel it, cling to it. I want to become acutely aware of what I’ve taken for granted.”

I just think “i am here. i am alive, in this moment and that is beautiful.” and “this moment is the most important moment right now, be present.”

I'll talk out loud to myself in 3rd person. I'll also talk to my dog so I don't feel as crazy as I am. Lol. I'll correct myself with anything negative I say or think of myself or in general. It helps me get things out in the open and out of my head.

I am reminded, the more I meditate, that I often hold unrealistic expectations of meditation and of myself. Some days, the benefits of my meditations are so evident! My intuition is clear, I feel present, authentic, and detached from people and things in a healthy way. Other days, I feel tense and my time meditating feels wasted. I am confused, thinking meditation should solve my problems. But, I see I’m missing the point. It only offers a portal into a new dimension of growth and self-awareness.

Most of the time I have to give myself a pep talk to get me through whatever is going on at that moment. Also, don't talk about every insecurity or painful moment, people will use that against you.
