Today was first time in forever where I was about to hop in the shower and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and… didn’t hate what was looking back at me… I loved everything from my thick thighs with stretch marks to even my arms with healing scratches from my anxiety. Never let go of this feeling because it’s not you being self-centered, it’s called truly loving yourself so enjoy it! That’s something it took way too long for me to learn!

Remembering that the person you are with (at any given moment) could die tonight. It may sound morbid, but it reminds one to truly appreciate everyone they interact with and not take their presence for granted

When you have negative thought, don’t immerse yourself in it! Tell yourself what you are thinking is wrong and sick, but please show mercy to yourself because it is a disease like a cold, not something you caused and controled

I keep what I call my “me box”. It’s a smallish wooden box that I keep under my bed and whenever I’m feeling anxious and/or depressed, I pull it out. Inside are pictures of me when I’m happy, friends and family, impactful notes I’ve made/recieved, and a couple of journal entries from when I couldn’t be better. It’s a good reminder for me that there’s still hope and that everything will be okay

When I tend to think about the future too much and worry I try to notice the things around me and what’s happening in the moment.

This is all temporary. Enjoy the good while you have them and learn from the bad when you have them.

Just be good and respectful. Be real with that person in the mirror.

I have to remind myself that I do have worth... everyone’s life and world are different in their own ways.. I shouldn’t focus on others so heavily, but I should face more attention to myself.. I accept more people as they are.. I’m becoming more patient with life, myself, and others.. 💗

I’ve been trying to live moment by moment. Hour by hour, minute by minute, second my second and just being fully present in that moment. It helps me to hit worry about the future or dwell on the past (:

Singing! Something about focusing on the melody and hearing my own voice fill my apartment feels very grounding and connects me to my body and surroundings.

Taking the time to just sit with my animals when they come to my lap. Having that 10min break where there’s nothing else that matters.

I guess you keep trying positive things regardless of how you feel. Treat people right regardless of how you feel. It is what it is.

I apologize a lot for no reason because I feel like I am always in the wrong. My boyfriend pointed it out and said that every time I apologize I have to state the reason why I’m sorry. No I know it may sound useless, but by constantly not saying I’m sorry, I feel less guilty and I don’t hold my feelings or use “I’m sorry” as an excuse to stop a fight, change the subject, or even just completely drop the conversation. Be true to how you feel and never apologize for what you think
