Reminder: You’re loved

A visualization that helped me to relax: for every bad thought that comes to you, you blow a balloon and then you release it and watch it floating away, far away into the sky, until you can't see it anymore.

Just a reminder in case your mind is playing tricks on you tonight. You matter. You're important. You are loved. Your presence on this Earth makes a difference whether you know it or not, and whether you like it or not. It's happening and you have the chance to make a greater world, even if you're stuck in a ditch.

I wrote lists if I find myself spiraling. It helps keep me on track and only worry about the things that matter. It helps me stay in control.

Is your tongue pressed to the roof of your mouth right now? Relax your jaw so your tongue floats in the middle of your mouth.

I strip away thoughts of my past and my future and tell myself "I'm here, now. What's most important? What's next?"

It’s hard to express how you’re feeling in the moment. So, ground yourself, breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, and then write them down. Give yourself a chance to feel your own feelings.

I stay mindful by being very aware of my feelings and emotions and acknowledging my range of moods rather than just brushing them off. It helps be to be more in the moment and feel more real. If I don't take days in small increments, I don't do very well at all. P.S. I could use someone to talk to tonight. Anybody down for a little heart to heart would be cool. :)

Notice any tension in your hands. Relax them. Where is that tension coming from? Where else are you holding tension?

Affirmations every morning

I try to check in with the people I care about and let them know I’m available, especially my young adult children who are navigating a whole new world that my generation cannot even fathom. But at least we can fathom that we cannot fathom.

I try to stay organized, by cleaning my room, or making something in the kitchen. I also hang out with my family, and my friends.💜

It doesn't get any better than that. Grandma was a real miracle of life. She had to be to be able to make her funeral day such a beautiful, happy and peaceful day for everyone. Ive felt mentally drained lately and was in need of a break from my life. So I went home to visit my parents and had a normal couple days, didn’t take any work calls, and just focused on a plan to better myself. It was everything I needed.
