Mindfulness Meditations for Stress Relief

I try my best to stay aware of the emotions I have. Even if I can't change them, just being aware of what they are is really helpful. Then I can think ok how can I go on from here, like what actions can I take to improve whatever situation I'm in. I can't always change how I feel but I can sometimes change my actions for something more productive.

I try to remember that nothing is permanent. Sometimes I feel trapped, so I try to remember that I’m not stuck anywhere, I could always move, find a new job, meet new people. I can always change things if I am unhappy

Instead of asking “how am I going to...” ask “what can I do...” instead of “how am I going to get through this or do this?” Ask yourself “what can I do to get through this, or do this?” It’s makes things manageable and disregards ambiguity

It’ sounds strange but, I want to be okay with being “okay”... I have made a habit out of being in “conflict” partially due to participating in our culture, which urges us to be “in a state of conflict” ...which tells us we need to buy things, need more things, and we are simply not enough.

I try to think of my anxiety as like a storm - sometimes it's a rough ride but it always passes in the end, and I will still be here when it does. Also, you can try and avoid the storm or you can protect yourself (either beforehand or when you're in it), but you can't directly fight the storm, that won't get you anywhere.

I do some guided meditation breathing exercises, I find it calming and it helps release a lot of tension whether it be from stress or aching muscles.

I am using a flat sided marble to help me stay grounded. Rubbing the marble helps me to stay in the moment so my mind will not wander and i stay focused on the now and not on 5 minutes from now
