I usually wake up with a crapton of anxiety, so instead of playing on my phone in bed, I’m now starting to breathe and think about positive things in the mornings

I think of the world as an illusion, and we shouldn't take ourselves so seriously. 🌻

I am a teacher and initiated Meditation Monday in my classroom. For 10 minutes each Monday we listen to guided meditation. I shared my success in staff meeting today. Other teachers are considering incorporating mediation in their classes as well.

Being more assertive doesn't mean that your a bitch. It means that you are strong enough to show people that you aren't a doormat anymore.

When I feel anxious and overwhelmed, I tell myself to slow down. Then I focus.

I've started going to the gym frequently. It's a few hours a week of me being able to zone out and not think.

If i’m in class and I feel myself becoming anxious I step outside for a couple minutes and have a drink and sometimes use a little of my rescue remedy spray. (Which is all herbal but i swear by it.) And breathe and step back in after a moment to myself to think about other things x

At the beginning of every day, I like to read an inspirational quote or poem, to give me hope and put me in an upbeat mood.

Although I don't draw as much as I used to because of college. It is still my safe zone to express how I feel without using anywords.

You can’t want something for someone more than they want it for themselves

Sometimes I have to revisit old places of the past where bad things happened in my life to remind myself it’s okay to have felt pain and to now heal and let go.. so when I walk past that block or that area I’m not haunted by bad memories. The past isn’t the present and you made it to this point! You are strong and u still move on

I wake up at 5:30 and take time to enjoy my coffee, to stretch (I carry my anxiety physically in my neck and shoulders and always wake up sore) and do a few sun salutations while listening to Florence + the Machine. I also meditate for at least 5 minutes with an emphasis on self-love and/or focus (I have ADD).

Allow myself the time to check in on my mental and physical well-being. Drink water, take a shower, exercise and start the day with my best foot forward.

Painting, drawing, wood burning, jewelry making & trying various new types of art techniques has kept me busy. Looking 4ward to my art show at HallowCON MO 10/20 to present & sell my work. Focusing on things outside of yourself like creativity has helped me to stay focused & avoid feeling helpless in the presence of chronic pain + deep anxiety issues. It's a blessing. Journaling helps a lot too. Don't let fear talk you out of doing what you love. Find something you love to do & keep doing it.
