I learned a simple technique from a book I’m reading that really helps. Set a timer or reminder on your phone for an hour. Then when it goes off or vibrates, stop, be in the moment and think about what you are grateful for. If you can think of something or someone who did something for you and really feel how you felt it helps.

I started a minfulness challenge about 2 weeks ago. I force myself to stay in the present. So, if I am eating, I concentrate on my food. If I am conversing with someone, I concentrate on the discussion. I read somewhere that being stuck in the past causes depression and worrying about the future causes anxiety. Whoever wrote that really helped me to put things into perspective.

I read and heart the mindful quotes on here. Reading different methods of how individuals on here come into their power is extremely inspirational and reminds me that everybody has their own inner conflicts and wars and that only we can solve them!

I wake up and thank the world for another good day and say 7 things I am grateful for. If I feel annoyed I flip negative feeling and think of three positive and then listen to music.

Just started meditating! Hopefully I can work my way up to longer periods of time. I am usually very anxious and always worried about what is going to happen in the future instead of the present. Meditation has been a great help so far!

I've been taking showers in the pitch dark. It helps me process my thoughts because it takes me to "another place" which lets me be aware of my situation objectively.
