I've been using mindfulness in different mental health episodes where intrusive thoughts come in to play; an example of this would be recognizing in-the-moment that those thoughts aren't based in reality.

I like turn the tv off , sip on a beverage like coffee or tea , sit and listen to all the sounds outside and feel the sun on my skin and breeze in the air.

Confidence comes from within, not from other’s opinions of you. Try to be goal focused, and learn to love the process (aka the present moment). As long as you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, nothing can faze you.

I always make sure to recognize how lucky I am to be where I am.

Taking a walk in my neighborhood but on streets I never visit has really been helpful with my mindfulness. There are some really beautiful local places that I hadn’t noticed before.

I'm mindful on thinking healthy positive thoughts and not let one bad thought turn to anxiety and then trickle on down to a manic episode, I stay mindful and in my present moment, medicine won't stop negative thoughts like how do I pay my bills

Gratitude and prayer. Even on the worst days I can find something to be grateful for. And then to pray and be present with God. Perspective my dears!

Depression and anxiety fog really can get in the way but when I’m doing well or am not as bad I find myself practicing in most activities. I’m going to try and focus on my senses in the darker moments, I’m hoping this helps with depersonalisation and feeling detached.

Seek in The lord when all fails.

I try to be gentle and take more time to be compassionate with others. I try not to predict their motivations, but just take time to ask myself, “maybe there’s a reason they act like this and could use a positive influence”

I have a planner I use. Taking 10 mins in the morning. And 10 mins end of the day. It helps me stay grounded and focused. It has a lay out that I write gratitude. Progress. Etc.

Life can only be lived one moment at a time so I only allow my brain to go one moment at a time.

I take 3 deep breaths, 3s in, 3 hold, 3s out 3x a day

Try to breathe out my frustrations, anger, other negative feelings and be here, in the moment, not ruminate about the past, and not think ahead. That's mindfulness, in essence.

I am a very busy active person and find myself getting overwhelmed with everything, so at night and in the morning when I brush my teeth, I only focus on brushing my teeth. The way the brush feels on my teeth, the way the toothpaste smells, what tooth I’m brushing specifically. This seems to help put my mind at ease

Being mindful and meditating has no immediate rewards, which is why I want to start making it a daily practice. There are few things I find more challenging than find a few moments to just breathe. I need it though.

I love the meditations on Pacifica! I especially love that you can choose your background sound. I also really enjoy the app Insight Timer - it has tons of free meditations, as well as podcasts and talks about mindfulness practices. It also shows you a world map of how many people are using the app at any given time - I love to see all the mindfulness all over the globe! 🌍

I stay mindful by remembering to truly be here now and to stay grounded. This especially helps when I can feel my anxiety creeping up on me.
