How can people know what is bothering u if u don’t tell them what’s wrong? I’m stubborn I have to remind myself that because I hate letting people in but sometimes my sadness creates anger from what people see

By reminding myself that my efforts can only go so far. God gives when He gives and takes when He takes. And knowing that has made all the difference 🙏🏽

For the 1st time on my drive I just focused on the drive ...nothing else. Not about where I was going or what I had to do just the drive. I noticed a license plate that made me smile. “I bling” the woman driving it was singing & dancing in her car.

I'm trying to make a habit of journaling. It helps weed out all the irrational thoughts and feelings that my BPD plants in my mind. It's hard learning to see beyond just black and white. On top of journaling I'm trying to get back into mediation. Finally did a session tonight after my exercise. It's hard to stick to a routine because I just want to not do anything all the time. But I have to stay mindful to stay sane.

Don’t look back. You’re not going that way.

I will not try to get through today as quickly as possible, I will cherish today because who knows what joys it may hold.

I just did "Awareness of emotions" meditation. I think it's one of my favorite meditations here, it's great, really powerful.

I always always always try to see a situation from someone else’s point of view. With my mental illness it’s all too easy to become self-pitying and self-centred. I always try my best, even if sometimes I fail.

Setting goals everyday and not stressing about not making every each one. Appreciating my courage to do something new from the list, little steps 😌

When I’m feeling the loneliness that comes with depression and anxiety it’s hard to be mindful of the larger picture. I start to feel like I’m the only person struggling with this, which isn’t true. It gives me strength to remember that other people have been through this and survived. I have a family tree hanging on my bedroom wall starting in the mid 1800s and it helps to put struggle and pain into perspective. Surely some of those people felt what I’m feeling. I’m never alone. There is light.

Just realizing how far and how much I have accomplished, keeps me going. It shows me I am strong, and I can do this.

I am not perfect. Who is? And why does this even matter. I am here trying to do the best of me and of my present day...

Sitting outside on my deck with hot tea, in silence, listening to everything going on around me. So calming. It takes me out of my head for a little while and it’s very relieving to get away from my own thoughts

Everyday I use a mindfulness meditation app called ‘Headspace’. It’s helped me become more calm, relaxed and patient with the people around me.

When I wake up I name 3 things I am grateful for and set an intention for the day. I achieve it and feel successful and fulfilled; which leads to a positive mindset.

I just downloadd the app. My life came crashing fown on me over the past few weeks. I'm hoping to recognize the parts of me and my choices that got me here. What let me to those decisions and how to make better ones in the future. I'm hoping to fix y messed up brain and be a better person.
