I try to implement a 5 years/5 minutes rule. If I’m upset about something I ask myself if it will matter in 5 years. If it won’t, then I am not allowed to worry about it for more than 5 minutes. I’m not always successful in redirecting myself, but it at least helps me to look at the bigger picture and consider if the way I’m feeling actually matches the importance of the situation.

Sunsets are a great way to remind yourself that you are one step closer to another day, and that you made it through the day to enjoy the beautiful orange hue at the horizon. But sunrises are also here to remind you that there will be another day to enjoy, and you've made it through the dreadful nights of possibly overthinking, or any battle that happens when darkness sets in place.

We don't usually examine our facial features , go through all of the details and lines , spots , colors and shapes But when I do that , It helps me take distance from my inner critic , look at myself from an outer perspective, and thus be less harsh on myself , more aware that I'm only a human being and that brings peace to my heart.

I'm mindful that my episodes don't define me as a person anymore, these episodes come and go and I'm mindful when they pop up, I can easily figure out what is real and what is a manefastion of my imagination, I'm able to get right back to "right thoughts"

Earlier today I was in a situation that was annoying me, but instead of acting on those feelings I acknowledged that I felt uncomfortable. I thought that I would tend to that discomfort however or whenever possible, but for now was in that moment just as it was. It felt like a light bulb went off when I realized that must be mindfulness! 💡

Just try to stay in the moment, not thinking about the past, even something that happened minutes ago, or thinking about the future, like what I want to do after this. That's mindfulness as its core.
