I keep a note tab open on my phone and record good things that happen each day, no matter how small. Then I read them before I go to bed.

Spend less time on your phone/multitasking. Just take things one step at a time. Try to take in your environment, wherever you are. Pay attention to the sounds, the way each individual carries themselves, notice small details in things as they catch your eye. Don’t try to happen to the day, let the day happen to you.

I don’t knownifnthis is considered mindful. But I have never been very good at expressing myself and my feelings. I’ve learned to write things down, whether they’re things I have on my mind or just simple reminders I try to remember throughout the day. Also meditation and deep breathing to help me stay calm.

I do the body scan meditation everyday. Sometimes I do it randomly when I start feeling anxious just to feel grounded.

I often talk to myself as though I am observing from above and not the person in my body. I tell myself things like “it’s okay to cry” and “you need to take care of yourself” and “it’s okay, Sweetheart”.

I stay mindful by telling by myself that my anxious and unwanted thoughts mean nothing. They’re not my thoughts. They’re my anxiety’s thoughts.

When I start feeling anxious or like I’m spiraling or spacing out, I wiggle my toes in my shoes. I focus on how it feels for a few seconds and it brings me back to the present. Take a deep breath, remember the moment passes, and allow it to move on!

When eating a meal, I really focus in on the taste, texture, and aroma of what I'm eating. It makes the food better and reminds me to constantly enjoy the little things ☺️

I feel like my confidence with talking to new people is finally building up. I learned if you want to talk to someone what’s the point in waiting around to do it in a few days when you could just do it in the moment. I’m glad I’ve learned to appreciate how short life is and how we should take every opportunity we have to do the things we want to do and achieve a happier mindset.

Mantras and affirmations help me a lot. I put some post it notes on my walls with positive affirmations on them so when I look at them it helps me stay positive
