Remind myself that I'm okay, physically. Nothing is wrong. Anixiety is just giving me these feelings, but it will pass, and I will live. I am okay.

I struggle with depersonalization so staying mindful is very important for me. I typically find 5 things i can see, 4 things i can touch, 3 things i can hear, 2 things i can smell, and 1 thing i can taste. A very popular way to practice mindfulness but can be very helpful!

I try to remember the bigger picture. Life is good, and the struggles I have are constantly in a state of change, and are not forever. This helps me to stop focusing on things that are not in the present moment.

I try to notice my thought process; it is insane how our brain got used to think in a certain way.

Sometimes I just have to acknowledge I’m not in a good place that day, and then I take a shower. Showers don’t care if you’re in a bad mood. Taking care of myself is my favorite way to stay mindful. It forces me to listen to my mind and my body fully and honestly.

When things aren’t going my way and everything seems unfair I just need to be positive and stay humble.... remind myself it will take me far rather than being a negative cranky person.... be humble.... be humble.... be humble..... life is unfair..... but I just need to be mindful.... sigh..... I’m sure she didn’t do it internationally and I’m sure she was stress out from a long day but sucks when I have to stay late and clean up people shit.... I hate being a assistant.

The tiny things are really the biggest things when you are trying to pull yourself out of a negative loop. I will notice my thoughts warping, my feelings changing my reactions & behaviors becoming more unpredictible, my health & appetite directly correlate with my stress levels, and all these things can just snowball spiral downwards continuously unless I try new habits to better myself, and the maintain hope that all these little things added up make for a big change. And that keeps me going.

Deep breathing really helps to calm my body and then allow me to find peace/groundedness in the present moment.

as superficial as it may sound, doing my make up really helps me be mindful. i pay attention to the intensity of colors, the blending and how the brushes feel on my face. it also helps me to notice more the positive aspects of my face rather than then flaws.

I have a really beautiful notebook that I bought for writing. Whenever I have strong feelings (happy or sad) I write about them and my day. It’s very therapeutic, then I can look back at the entries and remind myself of how strong I have been and how good my life can be at times. Journaling without too much pressure 😊
