I think all sadness comes from expectations. And all disappointment comes from the lie that we’re fed from the very moment that we’re born that life will look like β€˜this’ and we will grow up to be like β€˜this’ and have β€˜this’. And growing up no one really teaches us anything truly important about life. So when we become adults, life throws all the lessons and we either learn or die.

Since it is spring here, I literally stop and smell the flowers. Lilacs are in full bloom and sometimes just the breeze carries the fragrance bringing me back to the present.

By practicing gratitude. I am able to see this phone I am typing on, I can smell the grass when I go out, I am able to walk, I can talk and the list goes on. :)
