Life is uncomfortable. Accept your discomfort. Embrace your discomfort. Let it motivate you. We grow the most during periods of discomfort. Cherish moments where you are fully comfortable. If you find yourself getting too uncomfortable, change something to make yourself more comfortable. Stretch. Drink water. Eat something. Wrap yourself in something soft. Turn up/down the heat. Talk to a friend. Stop talking to a friend. It’s ok.

Today I plan on working on one activity at a time, and focusing on that til I'm done. I plan on allowing myself to take breaks when I need too.

It’s time for me to start being selfish about myself. Selfish meaning doing things I want to do without regard or much care of what others think. I need to realize it’s okay to say no and even more so to do what I WISH to do, not others. If I want to take an hour long bath so I can melt the stress away and cancel plans last minute then so be it but it’s time for me to put MYSELF first and that’s perfectly okay.

I surround myself with only positive people and things. If I feel a negative thought coming into mind I turn it into a positive. I also learned to take it one day at a time

It’s raining right now and I just want to say that the rain is a wonderful tool for mindfulness. It’s so humbling & so beautiful. I find peace in reflecting while listening and watching the rain.

When I notice I’m getting overwhelmed or overstimulated (like on the subway or anywhere with a lot of people) I narrow my field of vision, usually just by looking at the floor, and focus on my feet being on the ground, and where the parts if my body physically are. Then I focus on my breathing, keeping it slow and regular.

Whenever I feel down about something like not being invited to something or plans falling through or stress from school I always try to remind myself that it is only going to suck in this moment and in a little bit I’ll overcome the stress or emotion and may even forget about it. I try to remember some emotions are temporary and that I am in control of my feelings and attitude
