Don’t say “sorry” for things that are out of your control. Just say “thank you for your patience.”

I wear an anxiety bracelet that has special stones that are supposed to alleviate stress. I doubt the bracelet actually works but when I’m feeling anxious, I touch my bracelet and it brings me back into the moment. It reminds me other people go through this too and that I will be ok. This moment will pass.

Don't worry about the things you can't change. Instead focus on the things you can improve.

Photography helps me to be mindful because it causes you to be observant and appreciative. When you go into nature and photograph tiny details it really gives you a scope of how big the World is and how everything has to co-exist. You don't need a fancy digital camera even a disposable will do. Just observe and take it all in.

Start off my day with 5 minute journal and morning meditation. End the day with the same way.

When I “have to” do something, like stand in line or do a household chore, I try to really pay attention to what is going on and take in the details. It makes a mindless time into a mindful one.

Sometimes when I can’t sleep I do a lord of the rings guided meditation where you get to talk to Gandalf

I always make time to look at the evening and night sky, whether the colours are vivid and eccentric or dull and dimmed, I always appreciate the transition from evening to night. I’ve made it through another day and tomorrow I can look at the sky knowing I have made it through yet another day. Grateful and appreciative of a sky that’s so far away yet always present.

I literally call myself out on my own bullshit. Sounds kind of crazy but the mind controls you and is very powerful so I am always sure to be aware of my thoughts and keep them positive.

I talk to myself and say things like I am safe, I am loved, I am relaxed, I am calm, I have peace, It is well, etc. It brings me back to the present.

Have a higher power. Even if you don’t believe in god, maybe the mountains can be your higher power, but have something you can look up to that you see as something greater than you.

I just joined this app. I am trying some apps that have to do with mental health because I am having terrible depression. I hope this will keep me more accountable with my mental health.

I started exercising. Really feel light, both physically and mentally. Do it in any form. Walk, run, yoga, aerobics, zumba, gym, anything. Can't do any of these? Just go up and down the stairs again and again.

I do everything step by step. With this, I overthink less and just solve the problems in front of me.

I try to pay attention to the weather and look at its changes even if it’s just a small temperature difference. When it’s cold, I like the small warmth of the sun on my face. It’s a small thing but a big feeling

I like to take my time noticing every detail in things I do like drinking tea or making food or even my surroundings when I go for a walk and take it all in and remind myself I was put here for a very important reason even if I'm not sure what that reason is yet
