For the past few years, I have been listening to The Anxiety Coaches Podcast. Lots of great tips on staying mindful and in the moment. Great for those of us who tend to worry about all of the "what-ifs." Highly recommended.

So.. I've started this thing where every month I do something to promote self care in my life. Last month it was journaling. This month it's two challenges I found on Pinterest, a self love challenge and anxiety challenge and after I do every challenge I feel kinda good about it.

Put some headphones on, go outside for a walk and listen to relaxing music; take notice of your surroundings and breathe and enjoy the air that you are taking in. That makes me feel alive.

I enjoy replanting plants into odd things, like a butter dish, and thinking of how cool it is that life can flourish in the oddest of situations, the oddest of planters.

Music. Nothing helps me to be mindful, more than put’n on headphones, crank’n some tunes that inspire, and loosing myself in the present moment. Drown out my sorrow in song. 🎶 😌

Whenever I am feeling anxious, I go to the beach, I love to sit there, listen to music, fell the sand between my toes and the breeze in my hair. I think about all the things that I am grateful for but also feel the pain that I have and feel comfortable with it, this helps me to remain grounded and in control of my emotions.

Not thinking about other things while I do something. If I'm walking, I think about walking. If I'm writing something, I think about writing etc. Try to be present with everything that you do.

I spend time watching the sun beams come through my home in the morning. Seeing the light strike certain items in my home, and that my place looks radiant helps me to stay in the moment.
