I realised today that if you are happy and smile at other people, they will be a bit happier too. Your own mood really affects people. So maybe if you smile all day and be friendly, perhaps we will become happier.

I tell myself the word “present”, because I want feel present moment, to be present in this time, in this place. And it reminds me that every moment is a present, because it’s a gift to be alive and have this experience ( whatever that is).

I think of my aunt, who raised me when neither of my parents wanted to. She took me in and gave me love and warmth and I will do the same when she needs to be taken care of.

I stay mindful by telling myself that there is always something worse, always someone going through a tougher time and I think about Pay It Forward. Even one smile can change a persons day, i know from expirence. I also tell myself that I have to stay on this Earth because I’m the only person I can be even though I would rather not be. I’m the only person who sees my world in my perspective. I’m the only person who is going through the SAME thing as I am. Only I have my thoughts.

I’m always mindful of the people around me and help them in any way I can, but sometimes it feels like I’m draining my life away. I just want to have ME TIME. But when I’m having my alone time, I can’t seem to sleep or enjoy what I’m doing for myself. It’s frustrating. I want to be selfish for once.

Close your eyes and slowly bring your focus to your feet, then shins, then knees, thighs, hips, stomach, chest, back, all the way up to your tongue and everything in between. Helps to ground you and keep you calm.
