I've lately tried being less on social media and living more in the moment. Social media is just so toxic. It's way better to stay connected to others through meeting up in person versus hiding behind a keyboard.

For years I have run on autopilot..rushing all the time..learning mindfulness as difficult as it was to take the time to practice a whole new appreciation for my life and world has opened up. SIMPLE THINGS like making cup a of tea I would focus on sensations in my body like my back and shoulders. What the teaspoon feels like cold hard etc..I use a great app called fabulous to remind me to practice mindfulness

Watching sunrises and sunsets makes me mindful of days passing and reminds me to be grateful for the time I've been given.

It's raining outside. I am feeling suffocated and uncomfortable in my skin. I look out the window listening to the sounds of rain on the pavement. All of the sudden I decide I need to go outside. I dash out the door and run out to the sidewalk. I stand, letting the water run down my face, dampening my clothing and hair. I couldn't care less. I splash around in puddles and breathe in the sweet smell of pine. I cleanse my soul, my spirit. Bliss.

Shutting off facebook or social media helps me regain focus in my day on what's right in front of me. It helps me see what I've been neglecting or trying to escape

When I'm feeling negative I try and think of at least one positive thing about the situation. Or usually think about what I'm grateful for. When I'm feeling anxious I usually watch tv or listen to music. Also I go on this app if I need anyone to talk to.

I need to stop wondering where my 'bad luck' came from and just accept that I got myself into these situations, not superstitions or 'back luck catching up on me' just own it and sort it out

I listen and try to enjoy the earth. The breezes, the sounds, the temperature. It's all there for us to use as a coping mechanism. Don't get lost in the day-to-day grind by keeping your focus on a material possession.

I smoke weed and meditate at the same time which honestly blowed my mind away and let's me think so much lightly and not stress about anything

When I feel overwhelmed I step back and focus on the room around me. I try to describe the room in my head as an author would describe it in a book. It helps me ground myself.
