It is becoming more of a habit. When I start to feel anxious or scared or mad, I stop and ask myself why. Today I realized that I have a choice to dwell on the bad stuff like getting criticized or to focus on good stuff like moving forward with a career change.

This morning I looked through my thought records I've done on this app, and I realized I've made it through so many situations that I thought were impossible before. Situations that felt like they would never end- they did. Things I assumed I'd never be able to accomplish- I did. Times when I thought I'd never be happy again- sure enough, happiness did return after some time. Even if you don't feel like it will right now, this too shall pass. Keep breathing. Keep going.

I'm learning to accept every emotion that comes my way and learning to say that it's ok to have negative thoughts just as long as I don't dwell on them or mentally punish myself for undesired emotions.
