Today I am reminding myself that dedication, loyalty, and empathy aren't flaws. They are just rare in today's society.

I have to remind myself to stay in each present moment when my anxiety kicks in. I can't control what the future holds but I can control my thoughts in which controls my emotions. It's a process but I'm human and I'm learning.

Today I am reminding myself that my weight does not determine my beauty. What others have said is a reflection of their insecurities, not my flaws.

I stop pleasing others by saying Yes when you mean No; when I don't feel that it makes sense to me. I find out which of my behaviour is worn out - doesn't serve me. (Stop doing things out of a sense of false obligation or the need to justify my worth by helping others that can obviously help themselves)

Find things to be grateful for. Even if they're small. Like the smell in the air, a soft blanket, a healthy plant, perfectly ripe fruit, quietness.

I am trying to be more aware of my emotions and aiming to intervene either with action, reframing, or leaving the situation temporarily. Today I was getting frustrated because my daughter was speaking too harshly to me when I was helping her on a project after she asked me for help. I told her how I was feeling and that I needed to leave for a while. Later I returned and calmly asked if she needed any help. It went better the second time.

Meditation and mindful breathing (focusing on my breathing and taking several deep breaths then keeping track of my normal breath). I also study my Bible and work to meditate on what God's word says verses the negative thoughts in my head. These 3 things are all helpful.
