Sensory orientation - when I find my thoughts or emotions spinning out, generating anxiety or depression, I try to rest my attention on the objects around me, noticing colors, scents, sounds, sensations, letting myself become totally absorbed in my sensory experience of the present moment. It anchors me in my body and in the present moment.

Sometimes the easiest thing for me is to just lay down next to my dog in my room and focus on petting her and thinking about how I'm doing it and how her fur feels it's really relaxing tbh

I try to not react quicker than I think. Being mindful is sometimes reminding myself that mistakes are done even if someone is doing their best.

I meditate in bed in the morning before getting up. I know you're supposed to be sitting up, but it's a good way to start the day. Only problem is my ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿ˜ธ always want to participate! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

โ€œI don't trust people who don't love themselves and tell me, 'I love you.' ... There is an African saying which is: Be careful when a naked person offers you a shirt.โ€ โ€• Maya Angelou

Sometimes you just need to take a step back and look at the big picture rather than sweat about the little things...easier said than done, but I hope that I get better at doing that some day! I want to be happy!

Ive found baking to be a huge stress relief for me, taking my time to slow down, really focus on what Im making, enjoying the process. It eases my anxiety because Im being mindful of what Im doing and everything else fades away. Plus Im able to indulge in eating it at the end (Im an emotional eater) BUT eating home cooked food is always better than store bought food with additives and preservatives etc. So even the naughty is also nice ๐Ÿ‘ฟ๐Ÿ˜

It really helps me to focus on deep breathing when I'm feeling stressed. I literally force myself to stop moving and just breathe for a minute.
