Mindful walks 🚶🏻‍♀️ You go for a walk for at least 15 minutes and first you focus on how your feet touch the ground, than you go up focusing on how muscles in your legs work etc etc. than you turn to your senses: what you see, what you hear, smell, any other sensations etc.

I look for lyrics that capture exactly what I am feeling. And then, I add it to my playlist, and add it to my songs to learn for ukelele. Listening to lyrics, analyzing them helps me process my thoughts, is there is comfort In knowing that somewhere out there someone also felt this way too, once upon a time.

I try and really focus on my breathing. This helps me calm down and to live more in the presence instead of being so anxious of the future.

starting each week with an AA meeting clears my head, though I realize this is quite specific. I feel like a mental and emotional check-in with a group of accepting people is worth it.

I travel through very rural areas, so I enjoy seeing a variety of wild life. It reminds me to be strong and appreciate what surrounds me.

I've started using the Headspace app and it is making an incredible difference to my days already. After experiencing an anxiety attack which lasted through the evening and was still present this morning, I did an SOS session and and 10 minute mindfulness session and I now feel so much calmed. Highly recommended :)

My dad can't comprehend emotions.... and I can't have a good relationship with him because of that ...but I try to stay mindful that he has a lot of mental issues and he doesn't mean what he says in a bad way even if it sounds bad.

I try to reflect as honestly as I can. I don't handle EVERY situation correctly but I don't do too bad and I always try to do what's right. When I can see my mistakes I grab that learning opportunity and use it.

I take a lot of things personally. Whenever someone points out something that I am doing that I can take negatively, I do just that. I really wish I could do something to change that characteristic about myself, but it's easier said than done.

My poor health requires me to rest my feet at least level with my heart two or three times during the day. I use that time to practice mindfulness based exercises.

I try to be outside whenever I can. There's a special garden close to where I live. I like to take my shoes off and feel the grass beneath me. It is very grounding.
