I remind myself that I will never rid myself of anxiety, but that I can change the way I relate to it. It doesn't have to control me.

Whenever I feel lazy and don't care I think about this: To realize the value of 1 year, ask a student who failed a grade. 1 month, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby. 1 week, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper. 1 day, ask a person born on February 29th. 1 hour, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet. 1 minute, ask a person who missed the train. 1 second, ask a person who just avoided an accident. 1 millisecond, ask the person who won silver in the Olympics.

I close my eyes every morning and think of all the good things in my life. I concentrate on my breathing to prepare myself for the day ahead. I remind myself it's okay to feel anxious and I will deal with what that day brings. I make myself smile and try and be positive.

Look up. Look at what's above your eye line. Buildings look magnificent and there's something about that big blue sky that gives you a sense of freedom!

Remember that even when the worst things are happening, and you feel theres no way out, that the only way out of a deep hole is to go up. Things will and can always get better, the best way to change the world around you is to change how you view it! Stay strong!

I don't take things too seriously nowadays. Laughing in the face of hard things makes them easier.

I need to remember that vulnerability isn't a sign of weakness but of strength. A symbol of confidence in your honesty. It's very liberating.
