Each day, I am going to write an entry on a small piece of paper to put in my 'happiness jar'. Even when I feel the day has been torture, I will find something positive. When I am feeling low, I will dive my hand into that jar and remind myself that things aren't as bad as they seem.

As I shower, I try to mentally cleans and purify: I imagine all of my negativities, regrets, worries, etc. washing off and going down the drain. When an intrusive thought pops up, I just wash it away and focus on the clear clean water, the warmth, and all of the positive sensations.

I like to try, when I catch myself overthinking, to separate my thoughts from real life. Reminding myself that all I have, or all that really exists Is the present moment ...and that whatever is going on in my head is not even real. Many of my thoughts are about the future. This can be a challenge, but my goal is to make it a habit ...one day.

Remember that your thoughts about yourself are not the same as others. Ugly to you is extraordinarily beautiful to someone else. Keep this in your thoughts before you say something to others, as it can hurt them as well as you.

I invite God inside myself. There's nothing you can't truly accomplish without throwing yourself into His loving arms and not looking back. You won't understand how it works until you do. I just recovered from a very cloudy week and I have my girlfriend and my best friend, the Lord, and music to thank for that. I can know how blessed I really am.

My new thing is making paper stars. It's a good stress reliever and they take about thirty seconds to make :) I'm keeping them in a jar right now, but I hope to have enough one day to string them together like christmas lights

I start the day with yoga & meditation. Then at night I'll meditate for 10 minutes with 5 minutes of deep breathing.

Every time I pass through a doorway I try to orientate myself to the present moment and notice something beautiful. It helps keep me from getting too caught up in my thoughts or the drama of the moment.

I used to say I hate my job. Now, every time I say that in my mind, I think about 3 good reasons as to why I should be grateful I even have a job.

I find that doing something healthy once per day, reminds me to stay healthy and feel well the entire day. So if I remember to drink water, I also remember to eat well.

I set daily reminders for myself. They are often for very basic things that I probably shouldn't need help remembering. But it keeps me oriented and aware of the linear progression of the day. Sometimes a reminder will go off every half hour, but sometimes I really need the constant direction.

I practiced mindfulness today by focusing on one task at a time rather than stopping halfway through to answer a text etc. I also did some writing exercises where I had to concentrate on the details in a scene.
