Think not of the people who have more than you, but of those who have less. This way, you will always have something to be grateful for.

Look around a room and see who's there with you. Choose three people and try to imagine what kind of a day they've had today.

Before each meal stop and think about how hungry you are. Do this throughout the meal too. This can help you work out the right portion of food that your body really needs and avoids under or over eating.

When you hear a friend or person has a mental disorder, don't immediately associate it and them with stereotypes. Research it, learn the truth about their disorder and avoid mis-labelling them!

By allowing myself to feel whatever it is I'm feeling. Digest the feeling and move forward instead of burying it and carrying it with me.

Look up, what do you see? A roof? That's a blessing. Look down, what do you see? A floor? That's a blessing. Nowadays we forget a roof and a floor is something someone is praying for. Remember how blessed you are even if your life is crumbling.

I stay mindful by noticing the beauty of nature. I stand outside or sit, bare foot, and just soak up the atmosphere ๐Ÿƒ

I try not to be rude, harsh or unkind and in not doing those things - even though they may not be reciprocated - it's still worth millions to my heart and soul. And in so doing, I sleep well and wake up happy.

I have a memory of standing outside on a cool summer night and looking up at the sky. It was unusually clear, the stars glittering in the void like tiny embers from a dying fire. I had seen them before, but just then, I realized how very many there were, and how they were so far away yet still so bright. I felt the weight of my body as gravity held me tight and I marveled at my smallness. I like to revisit that feeling of being here on our earth, surrounded by millions of stars.

I have a rock, thumb size, with different surfaces (smooth, with cracks, etc). When I'm anxious, I rub the "worry-stone" while its in my pocket. Keeps me in the moment and noone else knows I'm doing it.

Most days are hectic and sometimes it's hard to find time to be mindful and appreciate your surroundings in the moment. So every night as I lay down in bed, I thank God for all the blessings in my life from my kind do and family to the little things like a nice smile or comment I received that I may have not taken the time to notice in the moment. Not only does it keep me in touch with my spirituality but it calms me and helps me fall asleep feeeling great about my life!

Sometimes I just look around and observe what's around me if I ever feel my mind talking me to a negative place in the past.
