I have recently started a brain games app. The activities are short but make me focus for about ten minutes. When I finish, my negative thoughts have been quieted and I am calmer. Kind of like a pause button for my brain. ⏸

Let every thought in and dwell on nothing, be fearful of none of your thoughts because they are just thoughts and they can't hurt you.

Has anyone got any advice on how to live in the moment? I try but have no tools or techniques to do so. My mind races from the future to the past and back again but never to the present. I feel like I'm going insane.

I try to remind myself to live in the moment & find something nice to glance at that is living, i.e. a bird, flower, plant, other people, my dogs, etc. becuz it reminds me that I'm still living too. And, that I've made it this far thru thick & thin.

"I'm feeling what I'm feeling. I'm not sure why right now but I'll ride it out and realize it's not the end of the world" ...gets me out of the judging phase to listening and feeling body sensations and being ok with them.

I have found it helpful to remember that everything that happens outside of myself has no value, negative or positive, until I assign it one. This helps me to pause a bit before I react. I'm fairly new at this but it seems to be helping me.

Whenever I feel myself thinking negative thoughts I immediately try pushing them out of my brain. It's not easy or entirely successful. I replace them with thoughts of gratitude.
