Just try to remember that thoughts are not reality. Only the moment right now is reality. The past is gone and out of reach, the future is something we can only imagine but never know for certain. Our interpretations and assumptions are just that, nothing more. That leaves us with right now, and what is true in the moment.

keeping a journal helps me think about what I accomplished each day - no matter how small the task(s) and prevents me from over thinking or worrying myself with things I can't work on yet.

Remind myself not to act like my real life is a 24/7 dress rehearsal for a play. I tend to go over and over in my head with what I am going to say. This isn't living. From now on, I will commit myself to catching when I do this and replace this bad habit with something that is in the present moment.
