I saw a post a few months ago and it said 'was it a bad day or just a bad 5 minutes' and I can't express enough how much that helps me because I can actually think of all the positives of the day and think no it wasn't a bad day it was just a bad moment

I have started to write down cognitive behavioural therapy techniques which can be used to reduce my anxiety. These techniques challenge my negative thoughts and behaviours and require me to write examples down whereby I can look back on them when I'm thinking irrationally. This has been really helpful for me today, when I feel my brain overheating I go back to reading/writing more notes on how to look at my thoughts differently and realistically.

Do you need hundreds of stars to light up the sky? No, you can only have a handful and it can change how you see. This is the same analogy with friends, you dont need hundreds of them to change the world. You only need a handful and they will change the world. So you see more is not always better, only a few things can change your whole perspective on the world.

I try to step back and observe my thoughts, feelings, and body's reactions to situations. I also like to remind myself of how giant the universe is, and how everything is made up of incredibly tiny things. That puts things into perspective for me.
