Live your life in a 24 hour span. Stop worrying about the past or future and focus in the present.

Life matters. I am somebody, and what I do matters too. The effort is worth it, and I need to know that this person is not who I am. I depressed, and one day I will beat this sickness- it just takes time and effort

I use the coping skills I have learned from the mental health day program I'm currently attending. I can now make it through a full day without indulging in negative self talk!

I stay mindful by allowing each experience and activity in life to stand alone. Instead of eating and driving. I just drive. Then I just eat.

People are the cherries to the sundae. They only add to the sweetness. Find ways to love yourself and find sweetness in yourself. Don't expect other people to make you happy because after all their just a cherry and your the whole sundae :)

I realised that I go completely into my head when I'm walking. I can walk down to the shop and not notice anything going on around me and I'm wrapped up in often negative, catastrophising thoughts. So now I try to practice 'mindful walking', focusing on how it feels when my feet touch the ground, or noticing how my muscles feel as I take each step.

Let's be honest. Mainly no one cares. At the end of the day everyone has their own world. We want people to like us, appreciate us, but the most important thing to do is to appreciate yourself. We need to understand that we are the ones that stop us. If you want to dye your hair, go for it. People may talk but after some time they won't care. Do whatever you want. It's so hard to learn how to not give a damn about others' opinions. Just live

"54321 game": learned it, paying it forward: Name 5 things you can see. Name 4 things you can feel. Name 3 things you can smell. Name 2 things you can taste. Name 1 good thing about yourself.

Today I meditated. I ate salad and chicken for dinner instead of Fatty foods. I spent a little time for me.

"The warmth washes her face, leaving dazed eyes and flushed cheeks. She is in peace with herself and the world, and she is led to believe that she has finally found home." ~A quote from a short story in my phone's notes that I will never finish. Writing is how I stay mindful.

Every time I feel my thoughts going down a usual negative path I try to switch my thoughts to something I am greatful for. With enough practice, those old negative neural pathways die out and are replaced with gratitude.

This morning I did some mindfulness meditation while making my tea. 5 minutes while it steeped, then 5 minutes while it cooled :)

When I find myself becoming stressed or overwhelmed, I focus my attention on the sounds around me. Sometimes when I'm biking, too many anxious thoughts come in my head, so I turn my attention to the breeze and how it feels, then I focus on how the sun feels, then the sounds of the world around me. Once I calm down a bit I focus on my breaths and how strong I feel when biking. After that I usually have more positive thoughts.

I use an app called "forest" that grows a tree for the time I do not touch my phone. I hope to become less dependent on my phone and communication, and more able to enjoy things on my own.
