Mindfulness Meditations for Stress Relief

I deleted Instagram. On Instagram I'm either really jealous and resentful of people or super braggy and fake. I feel so much happier!!😊 I reccomend giving a try, even if it's for just a week!

I deleted my Instagram and I feel so much unstressed. It made me realise how much of my anxiety came from social media. I also do a 10 minute meditation every day

I walk the dog everyday, and try not to go the same way so I notice what is around me more. I also play my ukulele and sing. I'm not the best but it makes me happy and I forget everything else.

One word: Meditation. This keeps me in the present instead of being depressed recalling the past & being overly anxious anticipating the future. Sometimes I use the buddhist meditation app (it has positive sayings your mind focuses on as you meditate) & the OMM app (when you just need a minute of silence to center yourself again; I use this when I'm anxious/frustrated).

I stay in the moment by practicing affirmation I am good enough, I am getting through it, I stay calm and carry on.

If my mind is wandering or racing, it helps me to do a simple cognitive task that requires my concentration- like reading, reciting something, or writing one of the Japanese alphabets (which I'm learning).

Sometimes I find myself feeling so anxious that I feel as though I am a stranger in my own skin. When this happens I try to focus on what I can feel on my skin. I also find watching a tv show helps, it distracts me and makes me focus on my senses, seeing the images and hearing the voices.

Sometimes you just have to let things go. You didn't finish your school project for tomorrow and it's 11 pm? Let it go. It's healthier.

I'm a recent Buddhist who gets a lot of hate as I'm quite young and brought up catholic. To stay mindful I follow the noble eightfold path of Buddhism. I recommend it to anyone of any religion as becoming Buddhist and vegetarian has really changed my life for the better. <3

I try to focus on a singular moment I am experiencing. The sensations, the sounds the colors the feelings.

I really enjoy writing music, poetry, or quotes. Looking back at each writing, it reminds me of all the times I've wanted to give up, but I didn't. There's always gonna be something for you. You all have a purpose.
