Mindfulness Meditations for Stress Relief

I remind myself as often as I can that this is a day I've never seen before, a day that will never come again. I tell myself about what I'm seeing. If I'm very depressed I make it explicit. "It's March 13, 2016. I am 28 years old. The wind is gentle on my skin. The dandelions just popped up. I'm walking to my car. I can hear the insects..." Noticing everything around me can put me at ease when I'm stuck in a negative mindset.

I remember there's a war inside of me, and I'm in control of it. I just have to choose to win.

I always try to make people smile, even on my bad days just because it helps make me smile to know I made someone smile.

I try to keep in mind my feelings are valid and I shouldn't feel ashamed of them. I know many struggle with this as do I. I just try to remind myself this life is mine, my feelings are important, and I can do this.

I put on my soldier suit and tell myself to fight today. We won't be weary; we won't go down without a fight.

I was recommended the app called Forest, and it's awesome!!! It's an app to help you focus however long you need to focus on that task. It helps me, because I procrastinate a lot, so it helps me get into the habit of doing and keeping my focus!

I make everything dark in my room, except for some small LED lights. Then I light some incense and meditate or listen to music. I give myself about 10 minutes or longer to relax and think about things like the world surrounding me or nature.

I look for reasons to smile everyday and actively work on my happiness (^_^) It's hard, sometimes more than others, but it's important and I value my wellness! -and the wellness of everyone else of course :)

I start everyday as a positive as a can, even if I'm having anxiety when I wake up! I remind myself that I'm in control, and I try to never write off days as bad days, they are just shitty moments that pass! Breathing exercises help!

Anyone you meet may be struggling with their own internal troubles that may not show physically. It's important to remember to be kind no matter their skin colour, body size and shape, their culture, their sexuality or how they look because it very well may make someone's day, maybe even save a life.

Suicide does not end the chances of life getting worse, suicide eliminates the possibility of it ever getting better

I think about how God has a plan for all of us and that we should all be grateful for that and that you're loved by God. ❤️

The app "headspace" is teaching me how to meditate, which is much more relaxing than I expected it to be!

Start your day dancing to a song. Order your space. Do exercise. Take a bath. Eat a good lunch. Treat yourself to some food. Pamper yourself a little. Sing, draw, do something creative. Read. It shows all the love you feel. Enjoy the little things. Be happy.

We must remember that we are so much stronger than the deamons we face

I listen to the lyrics of my favourite songs or new songs and pay attention to the message and emotions of the singer.

Distract yourself. Listen to music, draw. I personally like to fill a paper with circles. Idk why that calms me but it does. Also, create a good story in your head. It can be so far fetched if you want, just as long as you aren't thinking about what is bothering you.

Sometimes, when I begin to have anxiety over something, it helps me to make a plan. I'll get scared of doing something crazy or ridiculous, so I tell myself what's actually going to happen. It helps to ground me a little bit.
