I’m a survivor of a violent crime over 2 decades ago. Last year my mother passed away which triggered my PTSD. Now I have dreams that my attacker is coming to get me and I can’t sleep or can’t get to sleep even though he was caught and placed in prison.

I slept so well for weeks, and now I have a lot of trouble falling and then staying asleep. I take a shower, go to bed around 11pm and read until my eyes close. I live alone surrounded by nature and sometimes get paranoid when I hear sounds from outside. Usually it doesn't bother me but if I dont sleep it gets worse and I get all nervous and jumpy. I already had sound apps and pills. But now I'm so tense and can't relax I lay stiff in my bed all night and get up with pain in my neck and back.

I'm having trouble sleeping. I don't know if it's my insomnia, the change in my schedule, my cold, finishing a painting I spent hours on just before bed, or that I'm trying some different pyjamas that I don't usually wear. Whatever the reason I'm wide awake and can't sleep. I have taken medicine. My evening pills that are to help me sleep along with a cough pill.

Insomnia, I wish you weren’t present. I need sleep for the exams i’m taking tomorrow. I’m tired of the bags under my eyes. Yet, in the middle of 4:00 am it’s the one time where i’m by myself in y household. In a way it’s comforting. But, i get trapped with my thoughts. And i find myself falling into a deeper hole

2:35 am haven’t slept but 2 hours in 2 days exhausted, dehydrated from work. But wide awake anxiety ridden mind. Anxious and so depressed don’t know how much longer I can go on... just want to sleep for a week. Don’t want to die I have hope but it’s all too much and sometime I wish I would not wake up at all.. I know I have to keep fighting till I can’t anymore #lost can’t sleep

I find that having a cold shower helps me sleep. Sometimes where I can’t sleep I get so hot and clammy which makes it worse. Having a quick cool shower helps me a lot !

Many many nights I wake up screaming because I’ve pictured myself dying, but not just dying actually rotting in a casket, alone, without my family, not having accomplished my dreams, not having anything to show. I stay awake because I fear dying in my sleep.

I’ve been in a relationship for 4 months now and it’s my first relationship in 2 years, I’ve finally just got used to having someone in my bed but now every time they’re not there I can’t sleep😩

Hey y’all so random piece of advice but don’t sleep with a blue/white nightlight. Blue/white light makes you alert; sleep with red light instead. Sounds weird, but it works!

i've been sick all week and cannot sleep no matter how hard i try. every time i go to lay down i start coughing. i've tried just about everything but nothings seeming to work :(
