Pacifica to Sanvello

On-demand help for stress, anxiety, and depression

The state of mental health care in the U.S. is broken. One in five Americans live with a mental health condition, yet only 40 percent receive treatment in any given year, and the average delay between symptoms and intervention is 8-10 years.

Part of the issue is systemic: It’s tough to know where to find help and navigating the system to find quality, affordable, and accessible mental health care is a challenging task for anyone.

There’s also the social stigma. Mental health in public discussion has come a long way in recent years, but it can still be difficult to talk about or understand. Mental health affects nearly all of us, or someone we love, at some point in our lives, yet the stigma can hinder someone from seeking help.

It’s time to be brave; to talk candidly about mental health, but also to make fundamental changes to the system that improve access, affordability, quality, and care.

Grounded in empathy

It’s these challenges that led us to create Pacifica in 2014. We deeply understand the impact mental health struggles have on people’s lives because we’ve been there ourselves. I personally was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder when I was a just a teenager and felt compelled to help others like myself. Pacifica was built to aid those in need by giving them the tools and strategies to feel better.

Pacifica is now Sanvello, and we’re not just changing the name. We’re building on the foundation of Pacifica and expanding our mission, products, and services to help more people. Right away you’ll notice enhancements like improved self-care activities and an all new Guided Journey to help you feel better. But there are even bigger things on the horizon.

In collaboration with therapists, doctors and researchers, we are working to build the most effective behavioral health care solution in the world—and put it in the hands of everyone who needs it.

Later this year, Sanvello will offer on-demand access to high-quality coaching, teletherapy, and cost coverage from most major insurance plans—all from the same app on your phone. We believe this will be a game changer in removing the barriers to better mental health and ensuring that stigma, cost, and logistics no longer get in the way of care.

Escape whenever you need to

Think of Sanvello like an oasis that you can escape to whenever you need to—whenever symptoms unexpectedly appear—and stay until you feel better.

In a recently published, randomized study of 500 adults, our tools effectively reduced self-reported symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress, particularly among individuals who utilized thought records and were not taking psychiatric medication. What’s even better is that the study showed that effects lasted even after participants stopped using the app.

Whether you use Sanvello for just-in-time relief from something getting you down or for a daily respite for continuous support, it’s our hope that Sanvello can deliver what you need, when you need it, and help you feel happier over time.

Explore Sanvello today, and please let us know what you think. We created Sanvello with you in mind, and appreciate any feedback that can help us better serve you and others on their journeys.
